Kris studied graphic design at the Vancouver Training Institute, earning a diploma in Multimedia. She has an eye for design and has been sought out for projects all over the world. But really, she just enjoys the visual playground that is her life and career, taking every challenge as it comes.
And that playground extends into the local arts community. Kris is a commissioned artist. She has focused her artistic expression on the beauty of the human form. But she’s not limited to that, having delved into other forms of art, including kinetic sculptures. One example of this is a
gigantic bug she created for a gallery showing. Through her and her partner’s manipulations, the bug could pivot and move, to the surprise and delight of the audience. Kris has so many massive creations to her name that she’ll either have to start selling them or else build a bigger garage!
Earning a B.A. in Theatre at UBC, Kris has studied acting, directing, light design, set design & construction, and stage management. She regularly puts these skills to use, having managed a plethora of community events, from local business promotional functions to jazz festivals.
“Design is like an amusement park. Imagination is your ticket to ride. Join me and explore this creative adventure." ~Kris Tung
